Harp Organisations

Clarsach Society – a Scottish charity with branches in Scotland and England, with the aim of promoting the clarsach and its music in Scotland and in the wider world harp community. Contact details for the various branches are listed on the Clarsach Society website.  The Bristol and West, Wales and Transpennine branches are the next nearest to the London & South-East branch.

Harps North-West – this organisation promotes playing, teaching, and appreciation of the harp in Cumbria, Lancashire, and North Yorkshire.

United Kingdom Harp Association – exists to bring together all those interested in the harp, in all its forms, including amateur and professional players, teachers, and businesses providing services for the harp.

Cairde na Cruite – the society for the Irish Harp, which organises the annual Irish Harp festival

Historical Harp Society of Ireland – a society to support a revival of the playing and building of Ireland’s largely forgotten medieval musical instrument, which is depicted in the national emblem: the early Irish harp.

Clera – the society for the traditional instruments of Wales (including harp)
