St Mary’s Church, Ashwell, Herts, SG7 5QQ
Saturday June 29th
Arrival from 2.15 pm; Workshop 3 pm – 5.45 pm; Concert 7 pm
The Performance Skills workshop will be given by Danielle Perrett, who enjoys an extremely varied career as a harpist which, in addition to performing, involves teaching, examining, adjudicating, giving masterclasses in the UK and in many countries around the world.
This workshop is open to any musician, not only harpists, who would like to learn how to improve their performance skills and overcome nerves. It will involve many practical and successful strategies and ideas to help combat what for so many of us is a real problem, working on how we think and feel about our performances to how we approach them physically.
The workshop will be followed by an evening concert at 7 pm in the church, which will include a varied programme of performances on harp, voice, and other instruments. Workshop participants are invited to perform at the concert although this is not compulsory. Anyone interested in performing at the concert should confirm this in advance.
Tea/coffee will be supplied. The nearby Parish Room will be available for anyone who wishes to bring their own food to eat between the workshop and the concert. Food is also available at a nearby pub.
